Under section 5 of the Act a dependant is defined as
dependants means such members of the worker’s family as were wholly or in part dependent upon the earnings of the worker at the time of his death, or would, but for the injury, have been so dependent;

So if you can show that you were wholly or partly dependant on him then you would be eligible.
You need to show that you relied on him and his income to be able to survive and pay the day to day expenses.
If you were not employed or worked part time then you are dependant.
