My wife and I are seniors. I run a company and my wife has
We are in Mackay Qld. Our neighbour plays loud music several nights per week (last night until 12:45) and we cannot sleep through the noise. We have reported him to the police many, many times and they have attended twice over the past five months. We bought the house in February and have done everything to make it a nice home. We tried being neighbourly and that worked on one occasion but he gets on rum and becomes an obnoxious and disrespectful lout. He is in his forties and is a bricklayer. He owns the house (since 2008) and all the neighbours have been through this ordeal over the years and just given up. We want a permanent solution not a bandaid. Last night after the police came at 1130 the music stopped but s soon as they left he cranked it up even louder and added shouting and abuse to the mix until 1245 when he finally went to bed. He was full on rum but at 0630 this morning he took off in his pick-up with a work trailer behind - he would definitely have been over the limit. We called the police four times last night and it was only when we mentioned the shouting and swearing and that he had a woman with him that the police came. … read more
