I believe i was unfairly denied an interview because i had previously applied for the same position 4 years ago, but the interview panel 4 years ago, consisted of one applicants 2 relations, I also consider the the panel were not qualified as an interview panel, and the other applicant was already offered the job prior to the interview, form what i have been told afterwards, the successful applicant received a higher score on the use of computers and software, he admitted in the interview that he had very little experience and relied on the secretary for that section, this was a major part in the selection criteria, where i had 20 years experience i IT and Admin, plus the fact the panel leader took all the marking forms home and came back and told the others that this person was successful, i didn't complain as the guy they hired had previous experience, the person they hired was an unmitigated disaster, they advertised for the position again, i did not go for it, no applicant was successful, so it again was readvertised, i did not go for it, one applicant was successful but they withdrew the offer because, they did not read the recommendation of the independent board, that he was not suitable, they rescinded there offer and re-advertised, with the proviso that previous applicants need not apply, i was talked into applying for the position, they said the proviso was only meant for the last lot of applicants, so i applied, application was rejected because i was a previous applicant … read more

Can you do boundary law? WA, no, my neighbour has been given
my neighbour has been given a permit from the shire to build a zero lot wall. I told the shire that the plans the neighbour submitted showed his wall on my property. They said it would be taken in good faith that the neighbour would build within his own boundary. The neighbour has given me 7 days notice to remove the fence and start building as per his permit and his plans. However, he hasn't given me a copy of 25A (boundary realignment certificate) and refuses to do so. I have employed a surveyor who will come to my property next week, but this is after the neighbour intends to start building - on my land. The Shire is refusing to intervene because, even though they issued the permit, they say it is a civil matter. Dividing Fences act states that neighbour should not move the boundary until we both agree, however, he is bypassing this with his permit that the shire approved … read more
