If it is found that you were the person at fault then you are liable for all the damage that was caused.
The level of alcohol in your system does not absolve you from liability. The courts actually no longer accept alcohol as an excuse for diminished responsibility.
The courts see it as making the situation worse.
If you have prior drink driving offences on your record I would be concerned as the alcohol level this time is in the high range. You could be looking at a jail term.
