you are not going to like what I am going to say.
The law says that children should get to know both their parents.
You are under an obligation to encourage your son to go with is father.
You should try and put aside you feelings about your ex partner and his girlfriend as it can influence the child.
He is right about the child being overnight with his father.
It is not until the child reaches 14 years of age that the court will listen to his wishes.
If you are concerned for your sons safety then this is a matter that should be raised. You need to go to mediation first and if you cannot reach agreement then you should file an application with the court to have orders in place.
