To answer you question though, even though it is possible to bury someone on private property you will still need to seek the consent of the local council who should have a policy for burial on private ground, and this must be complied with.
The policy usually involves things like:
* a minimum size of the landholding involved,
* obtaining written permission from the title holder (the owner),
* undertaking to register the grave site on the DP (Deposited Plan of the property),
* selection of a spot that is approved by the Health Dept,
* that the grave is dug to the approved depth, with a minimum clearance from the lid.
