You have offered to pay $25 US for the question not sure what conversion rate is used by paypal.
Unfortunately as your son was at the rear he is liable for the damage to the cars in front.
What you should do is write back to the insurer and deny the liability on the basis that their client left the scene of the accident and at the time indicated that their was no damage to his/her vehicle. Also you should ask for the vehicle to be viewed so that your son can confirm that the damage to the vehicle is what he saw at the time.
Also you should ask for full details of the owner and driver of the vehicle so you can provide them to the police.
You should also speak to the owner of car B who should be able to corroborate your sons version of events and also whether there was any damage to that vehicle that he collided with.
MAke sure that you also head the letter "without prejudice" this is simply to ensure that it cannot be used against you in Court.
I would not be admitting anything until you see the vehicle.
