If her children are self sufficient and have not been dependant on their mother they will have difficulty getting any part of the estate.
Your father is entitled to the whole lot.
Your father should talk to a Solicitor and have a letter forwarded to them advising that any claim will be claim will be defended vigourously and that he will also seek costs against them.
He can complete the matter and have the house transferred to him as executor.
If they do not commence proceedings I would not do anymore.
Usually these matters are referred to mediation by the court. Before they are referred they have to file an application.
If it is the same Solicitor that is acting on the estate as prepared the Will he should state what his instructions were and that he will preparing an affidavit to that effect
