What an unfortunate set of circumstances, and one which you may need to tread carefully on for once all is said and done (police, lawyers etc), he will still be your neighbour and you will need to face them at some point.

Yes, it is trespassing when someone enters your property without your consent, whether or not the police will charge children riding their bikes there is another story, highly unlikely.

A nuisance at what level compared to a neighbours party with loud music? The incidents you refer to are occasional and difficult to report and enforce on an ongoing basis.

Getting a lawyer involved might just aggravate the situation, you can only sue them for damages you can prove.

I know this sounds like you have no option, you do legally as I have described above with trespassing but the ongoing solution is not there in that approach.

I suggest that if you can investigate options of creating your own boundary / barriers for the front yard (fence for instance) or bollards that drop down when you arrive home into the ground in front of your garage or any other solution (albeit at a cost) to distinguish and protect the privacy of your front yard, these are the solutions I feel you should explore.
