VerifiedBecause you have 50% of the care of the children you can not claim any mortgage payments as a prescribed payment (look up that term on the web-site link provided below) as a credit against your child support assessed amount.
The only way that such payments can be received and credited against your child support liability is if your Wife agrees and you can then enter into a private child support agreement.
If you are having trouble meeting all your liabilities, you could try and enter into arrangements with your bank to change the home loan to an interest only loan for a period of time, until you reach an agreement about how to divide up the matrimonial property.
