My Smeg SIHP273S Induction cooktop display flashes every 10

Customer Question

My Smeg SIHP273S Induction cooktop display flashes every 10 seconds or so after it has been switched off. It eventually stops however the touch sensor then appears to not work when trying to turn on. I have to 'rub' my hand over the cooktop surface to make the sensor recognise my finger again.

Turn the power off at the mains and use a cleaner to clean the touch sensitive top. Leave the power off for at least a few hours. Also, make sure the earth ground connection is good and secure as this control system relies heavily upon a good earth. Let me know if anything changes.
