The regulator switches are what control the heat. They will probably need to be replaced. It would be quite odd for them all to fail at once, however. Did they stop one at a time over a period?

I've only just moved into the house so I'm not sure if it's been happening for a while.

Okay, so all of the switches will need to be replaced to restore proper regulation of the heat.
