The drive belt on my Simpson SWF85561 front loading washing

Customer Question

The drive belt on my Simpson SWF85561 front loading washing machine has slipped off and I need advice on how to refit it. I have taken off the top of the machine and can access the rear of the drum. I have also located the drive pulley but there isn't sufficient space within the body of the machine to reinstall the belt.

There are two variants of this model.

One has a removeable back panel, the other, the cabinet is in two halves, the front and the back, and there is a join down the two sides

Let me know which you have?

Hello Rob,
The cabinet of my machine is in 2 halves - hence the problem of access.

Hello again,
I have worked out how to remove the back half of the cabinet and have successfully refittted the belt. Thanks for the initial contact. Will keep you guys in mind for next time.

Hi richard

Well done

With the split cabinet that you have, it does mean a simple job like refitting the belt, into a pretty major job !

Hopefully it now stays put!

All the best
