I have a 2004 ST V6 LR50 Pathfinder. The Instrument panel does not light up. The Brightness control nob has no effect. I

If the back lighting is lighting up in the instrument cluster as well as radio and heater controls but none of these are adjusting brightness when turning the knob this can indicate the dimmer knob/switch is at fault internally needing replaced.

Now if all other components brighten and dim with the knob except the instrument gauge cluster then the fault is with the instrument gauge cluster itself needing removed and repaired or replaced.
