I purchased a Hold RDI 2017 in April ever since then I have had software issues diesel emission, then twice safety airbag lifts on and now the start stop button says there is an issue. I don’t know what to do

Hello there,

Your VW is still under warranty.

So your selling dealer or any other VW dealer can look at your car.

There will be codes set in the airbag SRS module and the immobilizer.

No VW has been fighting me telling me because I have 3 kids the cleanliness is to blame. Now apart from the airbag issue for the second time I have an issue with the stop and start engine button

By cleaniless, due you mean accidental food or drink spills by children?

What proof have they got that this is the cause of your airbag light?

Your start stop button problem would be a separate issue.

Doesn't sound like very good service, considering they have been in trouble over engine software.

If the dealer isn't helping you here, it may be difficult to prove what really is at fault.

Perhaps we might see another story about VW on TV soon?

Yes the German cars are all very sophisticated now.

Most are impossible to fix without the many special tools they need.

Any moisture ingress to sensor wiring etc from a spill should be easy enough to fix.

I would fix it, give you warranty, and have a kind word in your ear to hopefully warn you of any future episodes.

Customer service could improve, they'll never get to the top like that.

The Hyundai was probably more reliable.
