While driving at a steady pace my car engine (2009 turbo

Customer Question

While driving at a steady pace my car engine (2009 turbo Fiat Bravo T-jet) drops to low revs - but if i take my foot off accelerator then re-apply accelerator to previous position it is ok again for a while - till it happens again. What could be causing this?
JA: How many miles are on the car? Is it an automatic or a manual transmission?
Customer: 136,000 manual
JA: What year is your Turbo?
Customer: 2009
JA: Are you fixing your Turbo yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No i haven't tried fixing it - but this problem only started happening recently about a month ago but getting mor frequent - about every 3 - 5 minutes approx now but not clockwork
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: yes - what is the cause most likely and how to fix - i will get a qualified Fiat mechanic to fix but wanted some background so i dont go in blind.
