I was just quoted 1000 minimum to replace the rear oil seal in a commodore ute is that about right or am I getting ripped of?
JA: When was your last oil change?
Customer: not sure I just bought the ute
JA: What year is your Commodore?
Customer: 1995
JA: Are you fixing your Commodore yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: haven't tried anything yet I put it in for a road worthy and they gave me the quote

Hi im kevin yes this sounds about right .the job itself is quite labour intensive as to access the rear seal the transmission has to be pulled to access
