ecciddently put a small amount of brake fluid in the engine... about a 1/3 of a cup
JA: Have you checked the brake fluid? When was it last changed?
Customer: i put the fuild in the engine oil
JA: What is the model/year of your VW?
Customer: i put about a 1/3 of a cup of brake fluid in the engine instead of engine oil

Hi..there..

As it stands now the engine should be fine...what you may want to do however is book it in locally for a full oil and filter change...it shouldnt take a garage that long to do that..plus if its not had one in a while then it maybe a good time to it plus you will get rid of the oil that will likely be contaminated with the said brake fluid at the same time...I do hope this helps
