Engine is running hot, motor has oil, radiator has water (until I can get coolant)
JA: Have you checked the coolant? Have you noticed any leaking?
Customer: Radiator was steaming this morning, but car was covered in ice, can't see any leaks thiugh when refilling radiator
JA: What is the model/year of your Subaru?
Customer: Forester 2001
JA: Are you fixing your Forester yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Refilling radiator, and drove it, temp slowly crept up, now idling, gauge is dropping
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Hi there,

Was the coolant level low, loosing coolant?

If the radiator was steaming, you possibly have a weeping radiator tank seam.

Does the engine run ok from cold start without misfire/ rough idle?
