Hi there,

Can you check to see if you have a blown indicator fuse in the interior fuse panel?

Sounds like your trailer wiring may have a problem.

Hello again,

Do you need any further help?

I hope my advice has been of assistance to you.

Kind regards

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
There is no fuse anywhere for the indicators the auto-electrician said it is protected by the ECM computer itself and has to be reset using a diagnostics tool which he did. I had previously been told this by the Mazda dealer but wasn't sure whether he was just creating work for himself, I was hoping that there was a simpler way to reset the ECM like disconnecting the battery but there doesn't appear to be any easy way or if there is no-one is telling.

I somehow doubt that.

All lighting circuits have a fuse for that circuit to protect the rest of the vehicle.

I will opt out and open the question to another tech.
