I've been told my recently acquired 2002 A4 with 120,000km

Customer Question

Hi. I've been told my recently acquired 2002 A4 with 120,000km will probably have CVT problems. If I change the oil - say every 20,000km - will this delay the problem?
JA: When was your last oil change?
Customer: very recent: 100km ago.
JA: Are you fixing your A4 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: It hasn't gone wrong, YET.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No

If you're not having problems with it now and the fluid is still somewhat clean, you should have no problems after changing the oil either. It's when sludged up fluid is what's holding it all together is when the problems start after changing it.

Thanks, Ron
