I have a 2009 BF Falcon Wagon LPG. Was idling rough.

Customer Question

I have a 2009 BF Falcon Wagon LPG. Was idling rough. Replaced Throttle Pos Sensor & MAP Sensor. Idling back to normal. The Auto Trans now slips in 3rd gear. Took it to Ford, no further trouble codes, they said the box'll have to come out. I find that hard to believe with only 60 000km on it. Wife's car, no hooning. What do you think?

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

If the problem involves only one shift point then it's most likely clutch damage or leakage.

Has the fluid level and condition been checked?

Was the problem immediately present after the work was done?

Can you describe the symptoms in detail?

Fluid level fine. Yes problem started, only after those sensors were replaced. Only 60 000 km on the clock. I'm hoping it's only another sensor fault.

It's not going to be a sensor issue if it only involves one gear.
