hi Ive got a 2014 auto dmax and when I try to engauge 4L the 4wd white light flashes even after 2 mins and when I go back to 2H the red light to check 4wd comes on until I turn off the ignituin and turn back on ?
JA: Just to clarify, can you tell me which light it is? And does it blink first, then stay on steady?
Customer: its the white 4L light keeps blinking when I try to engauge 4wd Low and then when I go to 2H thats when the red check 4wd light comes on
JA: What is the model of your '14 MINI?
Customer: Ill check
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: its a 6/14 auto gearbox not sure of the model but I see MPATF or TFS5WF ?? this has just started to happen so went straight to google

My name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I noticed that your question had not received a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here.My info is somewhat limited on your model here but I had seen no one else has responded and would like to see if I can help here.If at any time you feel that I cannot help with this please let me know.

Make sure your in neutral at a stand still or under 3 km an hour and see if it shifts into 4 lo then.If it does not I have seen issues with the transfer case actuator fail (if this has electronic shift) needing replaced.

If you have not had the fault codes checked to see what codes are set this needs done with a compatible scan tool that will plug in and communicate with all computers to see what codes are set then those codes diagnosed and repaired to correct this fault here.

If more help is needed, use the reply tab to continue our conversation. If no further assistance is needed, kindly rate my service, your 5 star rating is appreciated. You can rate at any time and we can continue to work on your question as this will not close out your question.Keep in mind in some cases it can be difficult to fully diagnose or help repair your vehicle without seeing it and I work on delivering the best possible answer from what I see to work with.

Thanks Pete
