Vt commodore cuts out or refusees to start - intermittently. I have an led test light attached to fuel pump relay output (purple wire) to indicate whether power absent, when cranking and no power indicated at led - it doesn't fire - yet at that key turn the fuel pump will be powered for the 'two seconds' , I take it slowly. Other times I know it will fire when the led lights while cranking. When it stalls at traffic lights or driving along I have not been certain as to whether the led has gone out at the exact time of engine cutout. New repco fuel pump, replaced fuel pump relay lately. ????

Mechanic's Assistant: Is the power loss consistent, or does it fluctuate? What confuses you?

I don't drive long distances of late but just driving around town it can be fine for days and then play up twice in five minutes. I was blaming fuel pump then power to fuel pump - from relay back, now I suspect wiring connections. Have read the stories of CAS and ignition modules being replaced with fault still apparent. If replacing cas and/or ignition modules would cure for sure I would do it in a flash.

V6 not v60. It is year 1997.

Yes, as stated before - fuel pump replaced, fuel pump relay replaced several times , spark plugs replaced, spark leads replaced.

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?

Both keys replaced by holden dealership as cure for intermittent start/stall problem, obviously not the complete solution.
