Customer: i want to put the discovery speado in it i need to know what each wire does coming out the back and what colours they r for each wire
JA: What year is your Discovery?
Customer: my car is a 1978 series 3 im not sure about the discovery unit that im using

using a discovery speedo is going to be tricky as its driven from the body control module that also runs many of the other car functions including the security system, windows etc

and typically the BCM needs to see communication between the ECU and security module for it to function

how were you planning on running the engine?

transplanting the ECU and wiring harness from the discovery too?

as again you'll have issues in disarming the secuity system

what may be better is to use an aftermarket ECU to control the engine and rely on the original wiring harness to run the rest of the car
