Customer Question

Hi, I have a 1998 LX470. It is currently displaying various dash warning lights even though the particular problems don't exist . The car intermittently stalls/misfires and engine shut down. It restarts ok, but dash lights remain on. after driving for some time, the lights do go off, however they then do come on again.

My name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I noticed that your question had not received a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here. I have seen issues with the electronic ignition switch itself act up/fail intermittently internally like this here causing this type of fault needing replaced. If this switch was not tested to see if this is the cause here for sure this needs done.I have also seen issues with loose or corroded battery cables cause this as well needing cleaned and tightened. All of these need checked into to locate and repair this fault here. If more help is needed, use the reply tab to continue our conversation. If no further assistance is needed, kindly rate my service. You can rate at any time and we can continue to work on your question as this will not close out your question.Keep in mind in some cases it can be difficult to fully diagnose or help repair your vehicle without seeing it and I work on delivering the best possible answer from what I see to work with. Thanks Pete
