We have the generator indicator light and the brake system

Customer Question

We have the generator indicator light and the brake system warning light just come on today. The Isuzu D-Max is a 2011 model and has done 212000kms with very regular servicing...every 10000kms. What could be the problem?

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

The brake warning is likely related to the abnormal charging voltage. A scan tool would be needed to see what fault codes have set and begin diagnosis there, but concentrate on the charging problem first.

The most likely cause would be a failing alternator and the system isn't charging. Have you tested charging voltage at the time the light is on?
