Hello, Eddie here and I will do my best to help, have you tried another cam sensor yet by chance? drivers side back of the exhaust cam.
hmmm.. I don't know, You would think they would last longer. You have to have a scope to check them, or advanced type Volvo VST scan tool. any codes setting? I believe you can ohm them out, but I'm not positive on the method, I would have to look it up. That one is OBD II first year 96, have you tried to check codes yet by chance?
Does the check engine light go OUT when cranking or does it stay on?
Alright, I'm in the USA, just to double confirm, this is a 5 cyl. gas engine correct? turbo or non turbo?
Is the hall effect metal piece tight bolted to the end of the cam?
