I was driving and used my indicator to turn and all my dash

Customer Question

i was driving and used my indicator to turn and all my dash and turn signals went dead. checked the fuse and it was blown. replaced fuse and everything worked okay. I tacked it down to a fault somewhere on the left side of the car. the globes are fine and even with no globes in it still blows as soon as indicate to turn left. My car is a 2003 2.2 litre astra
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: it only started happening yesterday and I have gone through 6 fuses so far. It only happens when I put on the indicator on to turn left
JA: OK got it. Last thing — AU Auto Mechanics generally expect a deposit of about $18 to help with your type of question (you only pay if satisfied). Hello there,

Does your car have a towbar?

Your short to ground could be in the trailer harness wiring.

Or it could be the indicator stalk.
