I have a1999 Mitsubishi Challenger it has done 347000 klm in the morning it takes 10 seconds for it to realise we are going , then off like a rocket , it is auto , , in reverse , it takes 20 seconds to realize we are going , then off like a rocket . the auto experts say a over haul $3000 , could it be the turbine in worn , like your opinion

Hi Brian,

No drive in forward or reverse for time periods of that length would more than likely be oil pressure related.

At 347000km, I doubt whether any "servicing" type work will resolve your issue.

I would agree with what a transmission shop has said, you need another transmission, or yours overhauled.
