Mitsubshi Pajero 1988 4g52 4cyl petrol motor fitting timing chain should have two marked links only has one how many links between camshaft and crankshaft gear

Hi there,
There should be 20 links inclusive on the right side viewing the engine from the front, from memory. With the crank at TDC, that should put the 'spot' on the cam sprocket at approximately 3pm, & the keyway at 12pm.
I'm surprised the chain doesn't have the two plated links
