Holden Colorado: Just fitted a set of Air horns on my 09 Colorado.

Customer Question

Just fitted a set of Air horns on my 09 Colorado. Simply used the connector from 1 original horn and wired up using relay. Since install I have had issues with dash lights blinking on and off, a variety of warning lights coming on and off etc. During install I temporarily removed earth strap from battery connection. Could this have caused the issue? Can I do anything before i break the bank and take to dealership?

Hi there,The body earth from the negative lead to engine bay ground is very important, even more so on RA/RC Colorado.Poor ground at this point causes no start condition, immobiliser and engine warning lights, and can cause other malfunctions like you have mentioned.Make sure all the connections to battery positive and negative and ground are clean and tight.Preferably don't stack too many grounds at one point, especially if an added ground now makes a poor contact path for the original ground lead.Hope this helps.Gary
