Holden vt-vz commodore hybrid: I replaced the clutch and manual

Customer Question

I replaced the clutch and manual gearbox in my ls powered vt commodore with a vz unit. Twice now the slave cylinder has cracked before the i even got to drive the car. In the old box there was a spacer between the box housing and slave cylnder where the new clutch and box doesn't. The box housing differs in the vz unit as there is a smaller spacer cast into it. How can i stop the cylnder breaking?

Hi there,
There is clutch slave cylinder spacer available, maybe from Mal Wood Automotive.
http://www.malwoodauto.com.au/

Or you'll need to run a VZ style clutch and flywheel.
Hope this helps.
