1999 vt commodore won't start straight away. It will crank but not fire. If i leave the key on for 5 or 10 minutes

Customer: 1999 vt commodore won't start straight away. It will crank but not fire. If i leave the key on for 5 or 10 minutes before I try to crank it starts. Once its started it runs fine. I've had the CAS replaced, checked my ignition coils, its a new battery, ive cleaned my key reader and had new keys made, checked my fuel pump and fuel pressure and put a new fuel filter on.

With what you have described here this sounds like a possible electronic ignition switch at fault I have seen these fail on several models in the past.I would have the switch tested to make sure.If it is found to be faulty it will need replaced.
