Before we get going with answers to your question I just require a little more information.
- When it won't start does the engine crank over?
- When you turn the ignition 'on' can you hear the fuel pump operate? (it's located in the tank)
- Prior to this have you had any other troubles with the car?
- Has everything else on the car been working ok up until now?
- Can you please give me some more detail on the car such as model series and engine?

Ok, thanks for the extra information - a great help.
The cause could be coming from a couple of possibilities.
It may have a faulty body control module (BCM) or the fuel pump may be failing.
Ty this: get a piece of timber or a rubber mallet and give the fuel tank a few hits while trying to start it.
