These problems are pretty hard to diagnose over the net, but you have an intermittent electrical fault in one of the control units most likely the A.B.S module (anti locking brakes) as both of these systems are controlled by the ABS module. A dealership or Auto Electrician may be able to trace the fault by plugging the Tech tool in at the and looking up the 'history codes' that the system will have logged when the faults occurred, or if you're lucky, it may play up while they are road testing it, in which case they should have a much better chance of tracing the cause. But my money is on the A.B.S module.

No unfortunately usually with these if there is a fault with the module it is usually internal, living on a dirt road with a fair bit of vibration would not help I assume. There shouldn't be a problem with a small wait until you can have it diagnosed. The ABS and Traction control may or may not be still functioning if you are careful till then you should be OK
