I find the indicator lights do not work when activated by the control stalk nor does the windcreen washer. However the hazard switch and all light globes flash when the hazard switch is activated. The taco and speedo also have stopped working although the fuel and temp guage continue to work. The engine starts and runs beautifully. The fan and drive belts and pullys are new or nearly and are at correct tensions
All fuses are intact and the indicator flasher can makes the usual sound when the hazard switch is running. there does not seem to be any damage or failure in wiring or other relays.
There are three fuse like components on the drivers side in the engine bay that i can not identify

I believe you may have checked the indicator switch but it has an internal open, as for the speedometer and tachometer being inoperative this will either be due to a poor connection at the cluster, try unplugging and replugging the clusters electrical connection otherwise it may be time for a new cluster.

Sorry, instrument cluster. The unit which consists of all the gouges and warning lamps.

I have unplugged the cluster plug and checked the connection power with a meter too all is ok Is there any way i can check further as a complete dash unit like this is worth more than the entire vehicle lol
The next step would be to try an instrument cluster, most wreckers would have these at a reasonable price or there are instrument places that repair/test these.

Ok, you had not described it as your are now. The indicator stalk will be why the indicators are not working when using the indicators (not hazards). You stated the washers are not working when in fact you meant wipers, if there is power to the motor then the motor is faulty. If you have not headlamps check the headlamp relay, bridge out relay contacts to see if the headlights then work, this will indicate a faulty switch.

yes the windscreen washer is on the wiper stalk as a push end and does not work along with the wipers themselves but this did not fail simultaneously. First the washer failed and then a month or so later this later lot has failed
the horn that is on the end of the indicator switch does work which indicates there is in fact power in the indicater stalk. sorry it is hard not to complicate it and there is so much working alongside stuff that does. The lights in the dash are working and so is the odometer and temp guages along with seemingly all the other warning lights

Yes, I understand. But do you realize a part of a component can fail without everything on that component failing.

so what do i do replace the whole dash unit and three stalks? i have had ball park prices to do this and it would cost over $2000 and i do not want to discard all this and then find that in fact it was just a dud earth in some place

Have you tried to source any from a wrecker? They may let you plug it in first to check it works.

no i have tried the local wreckers but there are no transits at the moment
