Ford Falcon: Rear brake lights (new bulbs) and cruise control

Customer Question

Ford Falcon Forte AU 2001 model.

Rear brake lights (new bulbs) and cruise control not working. Understand they share a fuse but have swapped out a 15Amp fuse and still not working. What else can I check?

Check your brake light switch, which is mounted on the arm of the brake pedal. This is a fairly common failure and will cause your symptoms.

Thanks Matt.

The switch is fine as the centre mounted rear window brake light is working. I had unplugged it and reconnected to check but no joy. Anything else I should check?

Not sure off the top of my head, can't remember if it goes through the BEM (Body Electronics Module) or not. I can check tomorrow when I'll have access to a wiring diagram.
In the meantime if another expert wants to contribute feel free.

Thanks Matt

If you could check that would be great. I've approved payment.
