Modern vehicle security systems can be quite difficult, The AU falcons had 2 systems. the early had SMART LOCK and the Later modles had SMART SHEILD. You can look on the rear 1/4 window to find out what system your vehicle is running.
If it has SMART LOCK the procedure is as follows.
1 turn all accessories off ( Radio lights A/C Fan et) and open the drivers door.
2 Turn on the IGN and allow to stand for 40-50min. NOTE DO NOT SHUT THE DRIVERS DOOR. It is also advisable to have a battery charger on the battery while carrying out this procedure. If the battery goes flat you will have to do it again.
3 After 40-50min has elapsed you will see the central locking cycle ( Lock ) This is to say the programing is complete. Turn the IGN off and Try start the vehicle.
If you have SMART SHELD you will need to take it to a dealer or Auto Electrician with a scan tool. I would Recommend a Ford dealer.
PLEASE CHECK ALL FUSES ARE FITTED AND NOT BLOWN
