2005 Audi A6- no start, has ignition key and engine start/stop button on center console,
JA: Will the headlights turn on? Is the battery fully charged?
Customer: key goes in turns, nothing really illuminates
JA: Are you fixing your A6 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes they do, checked fuses related to ignition, all ok at this time.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

the battery is dead when the battery is dead or very low it will not communicate with the immobilizer either. you need to jump the vehicle. once jumped I would have the charging system checked to ensure it is charging properly. the battery will most likely test out bad since it is dead. but if it is more tha 4 years old I would change it any how.
