Customer Question

I have a 2004 audi a4 that leaks radiator fluid badly when you put the car in drive. Doesn't leak in neutral. Any clue?
JA: How old are the hoses? And just to clarify, can you actually see the leak?
Customer: Not sure. I bought the car last year. I am pretty sure he said he had replace the hoses at some point.
JA: Are you fixing your A4 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Trying to decide that now. I have been looking through web sites trying to get an idea.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

Do you have a second person you can work with so they can put it in drive (while holding the brake) and you can look to find the source of the leak? When you put it in drive, you are putting a load on the engine. What area it it leaking- under the radiator area, dripping from the engine, ?
