I have an intermittent battery warning light. Went on once last week and again this morning.
JA: Just to clarify, what are the exact lights you're talking about?
Customer: A red indicator that looks like a battery
JA: What is the model/year of your Audi?
Customer: 2010 a6
JA: Are you fixing your A6 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have not done anything yet. I am supposed to drive 1500 miles to home day after tomorrow and trying to figure out if this can wait for my dealer at home

The battery light means the battery is weak and it needs to be replaced.

I would recommend checking the output of the charging system including the alternator.

The shop could perform this test. It should take no more than a hour.
