2001 TT. After I replaced the battery, the check engine

Customer Question

2001 TT. After I replaced the battery, the check engine light came of and the throttle is now running high (10-12) at idle. Reset the throttle?
JA: Does the light stay on, or does it blink?
Customer: the engine light stays on.
JA: Are you fixing your TT yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I am not fixing myself. I replaced the battery at Sears. Sears ran a code that suggested reset throttle. Is resetting the throttle an easy fix?
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: not at this time.

Hello, I'm Brandon - Audi tech.

The throttle reset itself and it needs to be program / agline itself.

The dealer will use a computer to program this and it takes about 10 minutes to do it.

Expert:  internal88 replied 1 year ago.

The tech will plug VCDS / software to fully program the throttle body.

Yes, it is inconvenience but this is the only proper way.

Please rate me positive, thank you.
