Customer Question

Check engine light is on. I've been to dealer on 4 different occasions. Still not resolved.
JA: Does the light stay on solid or does it flicker? Any noticeable performance problems lately?
Customer: Stay on solid.
JA: What is the model/year of your Audi?
Customer: 2016 A6 2.0 Quattro. 10,000 miles
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Taking back to dealer tomorrow. Hopefully they can resolve the problem. Had it at dealer for 2 days last month. Check engine light returned last week
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: No.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Audi Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Hi, I’m Ron and I’ll be helping you today.
Before we get started though, Please understand that I don't know
your skill level or tools you have to assist us. Also understand that
I can't see, smell, hear, or touch the vehicle either, so patience is
appreciated. JA is a great Q/A site, but it does NOT replace a
repair shop.
My goal is to make you happy and get a great rating in return for
my time. Sometimes I have to give you bad news that I know you
didn’t want to hear, so please don’t shoot the messenger.

Okay, regardless of what the code is, there is a certain protocol they must follow to investigate the code set. Checking the wiring, the associated part performance, any computer flash updates there may be for the code and checking MODE 6, the most important of all which I'm sure they did NOT do. When you hit them up with all you know right now, they will make sure they let an experienced tech look at i this time.

Thanks, ***** ***** remember to rate me for my time, I don't get credit unless you do. Please keep this link too, in case you need me again later on.
