Audi TT Quattro: I am replacing the down pipe on an 04 TT quattrto

This answer was rated:

I am replacing the down pipe on an 04 TT quattrto 1.8. I removed the subframe bolts and the subframe won't drop far enough to get the new pipe in. It looks like I need another inch or so. What did I miss?

Hello , Here to answer automotive questions and make you feel comfortable and become familiar with your product.

You need to drop the engine a bit using this tool. It is the engine support needed to allow the engine and subframe to drop enough safely without losing control of the heavy engine.

The car is a POS. I'll never buy another AUDI

You can rent the tool.
