2 Audi A6: tail light..Quattro..the trunk to remove and reveal a bolt

Resolved Question:

can you tell me how to remove the right tail light assembly in my 2005 1/2 Audi A6 3.2L Quattro? There is no circular cover in the lining of the trunk to remove and reveal a bolt. There is a difference bolt inside however going back toward that assembly. Are there any other bolts? I have seen some removal suggestions, but my trunk etc. is not showing the same set up. Thanks, Ron

Hi hopefully these instructions will match your A6

Remove cover on luggage compartment side trim.

Remove nut -arrow-.

Carefully release the cover -2- from the rear light -1- using the removal wedge -3409-.

Pry rear light -1- at outer edge out of clip nuts using removal wedge -3409-.

Remove rear light from body opening.

I hope these help and if I can help further please feel free to ask

Dave... not sure... this shows the left rear... driver's side... do you have the diagrams for the right rear/passenger side? looks like this is the right version.... will know more with other diagram. Also, suggestions on the light error issue?

Hi there are only the pictures for the one side so it would be a mirror image of what I sent.

I would certainly look at all the connections on the lights before doing anything else.
