Hi there and welcome to JA.COM, both these fault codes are transmission related,do your gear lights flash? these faults could be your Transmission Control Module, sometimes inside the box itself, a dealer who you can give your full VIN number should be able to tell you if its inside or outside your box,Most of the trans (except CVT) have multifunction switch on the side of the trans and it can be replaced by itself, hope this helps, kind regards martin.

Hi thanks for that.A continuously variable transmission, or CVT, is a type of automatic transmission that provides more usable power, better fuel economy and a smoother driving experience than a traditional automatic.
Hope this helps,kind regards martin.

So, as a novice has mine got cvt, it is a 6 speed automatic? and where would i get the multifunction switch from?

Hi there, you will need to ring your Audi dealer and give them your reg and full vin number, from that they will be able to look at the build spec of your car and tell you if your multifunction switch is inside or outside of your gearbox, hope this helps, kind regards martin.
