Have a family 1947? painting and unable to find out about…

Hi again Angela and thank you so much for your patience. This appears to be a vintage oil painting on canvas (given the textured surface) or board depicting a hilly landscape at sunset.   An old road leads down to a lake with distant mountains in the background. The sun is painted with expressive brushstrokes as stormy clouds begin to fill the sky. The style could be described as Romantic Realism and has been executed with broad brushstrokes creating an emotional force. The painting is signed and dated at the lower right corner.  The signature is only partly legible and stylized - it appears to read  "H. Sheton '47" (dated 1947) in black paint.  The work is framed in a tradition brown wood frame.

I have checked my artist and image databases for the name and signature and did not find one listed (or similar) working in that style and period recorded.  So for now we would consider the painting as by a talented however presently unidentified artist.  As such as a value I would suggest an estimate of $350-450 retail for a lovely signed and dated painting by a presently unidentified mid-Twentieth Century painter.
