Customer Question
I have a 21...

I have a 21 piece tea set sent home from Germany in 1951. It has 6 plates, 6 saucers, 6 cups, a tea pot, and a creamer and sugar bowl. What might that be worth?

Expert's Assistant: I always love having an appraiser look at my stuff. Sometimes its turned out to be surprisingly valuable. Tell us what else you do know and the Appraiser will be able to better assist you.

That's all I know. My dad was in the service at that time and he purchased the set for 2 cartons of cigarettes.

Expert's Assistant: Is there anything else the Appraiser should be aware of?

No. It has P V B Haus Dreaden Germany on the bottom of the cups.

I will answer without pictures since I am familiar with this maker.

This is a service for 6 tea set made by Haus Dresden, a porcelain decorating workshop from 1950 to 1970,

in Dresden, Germany. This tea set has a current value of $400 to $500 retail based on recent sales of similar sets.

Some sites that I recommend for selling are Offerup.com (local), Varagesale.com (local) , Wanelo.com, http://www.decluttr.com, Bonanza.com, Ioffer.com, Etsy.com,
Ebay and letgo.com (local).

You can also go to invaluable.com or liveauctioneers.com and search their directory for an auction house near you and consign to them.

Please do click the stars now for this one (bonuses are also welcome!), it is very important for me
to get good feedback for answering.
