Customer Question

I have 18 Volupte pins from the 1940's. They are gold color with pearl or gems imbedded. About 1 1/4" long. Clowns, seals balancing a ball, and penguins. Can you tell me anything about them? Does anyone collect them? What are they worth? Thank you for your response! Virginia Onines

Hello and Welcome to Just Answer,

My name is***** am a Personal Property Appraiser and would be happy to assist you with your question.

Known mostly for their compacts, Volupte had it's beginnings in Elizabeth, New jersey in 1926. The company reached popularity in the 1940's and was eventually sold in the late 1950's to Shields Inc in Attleboro, MA.

Your animal and clown pins are gold plated and are categorized as costume jewelry. In the current market the pins would value between 10-15USD in good to excellent condition. If you have the original packaging, you would be looking at closer to 20-25USD per pin in tip top shape.

I hope this information was helpful to you today.

Best of luck with your vintage Volupte pins.

Any feedback you can leave for my service would be much appreciated.

Thank You,
